In the first quarter of 2022, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on iOS in Algeria showed diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these apps.

Yassir experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 1.7K in late December and reaching 1.8K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users also showed a positive trend, growing from around 6.9K to 7.2K over the quarter.

Heetch - Ride-hailing app had a more fluctuating download pattern. Weekly downloads started at 1K in late December, dipped to around 700 in late January, then peaked at 1.2K in early March. The app's active users increased from 5.6K to 5.9K over the period.

Coursa saw significant growth in downloads, particularly from late February onwards. Starting with about 400 weekly downloads, the app surged to 778 downloads in early March and maintained strong numbers, ending the quarter at 738 downloads.

Arbin showed a notable spike in weekly downloads in late February, reaching 771 downloads from a lower base of around 50 in January. However, this surge was short-lived, and downloads dropped to 180 by the end of March.

Uber - Request a ride had a relatively stable download rate, fluctuating between 100 and 230 weekly downloads throughout the quarter. The app's active users remained consistent, increasing slightly from 5.1K to 5.8K by the end of March.
